Who were your hearthrobs Back in the Bronze Age? Was it one of the Heathers, or one of Charlie's Angels?
How about Ginger or Maryann? Or for that matter, Betty or Veronica? Or even Betty or Wilma?
What about Erin Gray from Buck Rogers in the 21st Century? Or Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman?
Who had you saying, "Hubba hubba?" Who did we miss? Did you have posters or t-shirts with your favorite star?
And this isn't just for the males of the species, my wife liked Parker Stevenson from The Hardy Boys, but also desperately wanted a silk jacket with Shawn Cassidy emblazoned on the back! How about Erik Estrada or Leif Garrett?
Who were your favorite stars? Did you watch series just because of the celebrities involved? Is this what made Battle of the Network Stars a hit? All this and more discussion today at BitBA! Cheers!

Ole Charlie's got to get out the door to work! In brief:
Farrah, Mary Ann, Betty, Dallas Cheer Leaders...
But, I swooned many a time over Colan's and Everett's renditions of the Black Widow from the early 1970s. So, so sexy and lush was the are.
And, a few years ago, I tuned into some Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies from the late 1930s such as the magnificent "Top Hat" for the first time. Oh brother, Charlie fell hard, (really, really hard) for Ginger Rogers. So did the rest of the USA, though, at the time LOL.
When most of my friends had that famous Farrah poster, I had a Jaclyn Smith.
Dawn Wells- yes
Lynda Carter- yes
Susan Dey from the partridge family was an early crush.
Funny you should show Jan Smithers. I just recently seen she had done a Newsweek cover back in 1966 as a teenager. Cute as a button.
I'm with you Charlie. Thanks to TCM I've discovered many a classic beauty from the Golden Age of film, including Ginger.
As far as studies in masculinity go... Bogart in Casablanca, Peck in 12 O'clock High, the gang that "Saved Private Ryan" and Captain America 100 to about 110 by Jack King Kirby and Captain Marvell 1-4 by Colan.
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!
And, hey, what about Lindsay Wagner and Pam Dawber?
I could go on ...
I had a huge crush on Lynda Carter when I was a kid. I even had a TV Wonder Woman tee-shirt when I was 6th grade. Definitely one of the hottest women of all time, IMHO.
Ok, let's see...
Betty over Veronica. Mary Ann over Ginger. As for Charlie's Angels, Kate Jackson was The One.
Selenarch- good call on Pam Dawber!
Oh, and after seeing "Young Frankenstein ", I had a huge crush on Teri Garr...
Interesting, while I watched Wonder Woman, Gilligan's Island, etc. as a preteen in the '70s, I didn't really come to, erm, appreciate the charms of Lynda Carter, Dawn Wells or Tina Louise, or, for that matter, Nichelle Nichols (and pretty much every woman that appeared in the original Star Trek) until I hit my teens. However, as a pre-teen, I had these largely innocent little-boy crushes on Bionic Woman Lindsey Wagner and Joanna Cameron (better known as Saturday morning's Isis) right from the get-go.
As for the male stars who made the girls in my school swoon, I remember that Leif Garrett, Andy Gibb and Jimmy McNichol were particularly popular.
I agree on Maryann, Bailey, Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith), Wonder Woman, and Colonel Deering. I also had a thing for Pamela Hensley (Princess Ardala on Buck Rogers and later C.J. on Matt Houston) and Ornella Muti (as Princess Aura in Flash Gordon) ... gotta love those bad girls!
My #1 crush at the time (and maybe still) was Donna Mills; I always thought she was one of the best-looking women on TV, and still looks great in her seventies.
Diana Rigg as Emma Peel in the brittish show The Avengers....yowza!
Farah Fawcett-Majors was a huge crush for me, too.
And, going back across the ocean, how about Elisabeth Sladen (Sara Jane Smith) and Louise Jameson (Leela) as Doctor Who companions?
And I was a huge fan of Yvonne Craig as Batgirl on the Adam West version.
Adam
Alexandra Bastedo, Caroline Munro, Catherine Schell, Jenny Hanley, Lesley Anne Down.
