Merry Christmas from the BitBA Team! Red and Green All Around!

Martinex1: Redartz and I wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of the BitBA visitors, lurkers, commentators, and friends!  Happy Holidays to all!! Hope the New Year is a good one for everybody!  And as always, thank you for contributing and participating all year long.

It seems the Hulks (Red and Green) are battling over the very thing we will be discussing today.  Who has the best Christmas-colored duds?   Whose costume with the not-so-common color scheme of red and green is your favorite?  We've got champions from both DC and Marvel, so let us know what you think about the seasonal fighting togs of these heroes?

First up is 3-D Man.  Not only does he have the look, but the colors are actually related to his powers.
Or how about Mr. Miracle?  His new series is getting high marks and is flying off the shelves.  And you have to admit that his name fits the season.

For that matter, the original Starman should definitely have a shot at the prize as he is thematically appropriate as well.

Haven't decided yet, well how about the Vision?  He's a classic in red and green!
Or how about Hawkman and Hawkgirl?   Talk about a classic team, and they have the wings which makes them particularly appropriate.

If these Golden Agers don't grab your fancy, what do you think about Dr. Mid-Nite? He wears a costume that is a favorite of mine, and it has changed so little over the many decades.
How can we forget the Boy Wonder - Robin?  He was one of the first to embrace the red and green!

Still fighting it out?  Who has the best red and green costume?   What do you think about these?

Wonder Man and Vision share the same brainwaves, and obviously similar fashion sense!  And in case you think we are just spotlighting heroes, there is one villain we cannot ignore... the Crimson Centipede!

So that is the selection for the day! What do you think?  What do you have to say?  Red and Green costumes are all in play! And did your comic-loving heart grow three sizes today?

Cheers all!

I have always been fond of Ultra Boy and the original Wonder Man costume.

Festive felicitations to one and all :)

Yes, red and green are the colours of Christmas, because of the association with holly I suppose - so 3-D Man wins the prize for the most red & green costume.

However, I'm clueless about 3-D Man so Red Hulk and Green Hulk represent the Christmas colours for me :D

I have exactly 30 seconds before getting a coffee and opening presents...

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all!

(It's 15 F / -10 C in Chicago - which means I hope Santa brought me tickets to Tahiti!)

I never cared for the Fourth World stuff, but I always thought Mr. Miracle's outfit was kinda cool.

Merry Xmas (or Happy Holidays) to everyone. (And Happy Boxing Day/St. Stephen's Day for tomorrow, to anyone who observes that day!)

I love 3D Man (later they had a legacy version called Triathalon in Busiek and Perez's Avengers, but then Jeff Parker made him 3D Man again in Agents of Atlas - which is a series I love).

I hate Red Hulk (and Red She-Hulk).

Mister Mircle's new series is a punishing trip. I love it, and I love his costume.

In other XMas news, I scored volume 2 of the Deadly Hands of Kung Fu omnibus (I don't have volume 1, but I want it for White Tiger's stories), along with two volumes of Pluto. which will mrk my descent into the world of Manga.

Happy Belated Chanukah!
Very Merry Christmas
Joyous Kwanzaa

and a great New Year to all!

Merry Christmas and/or any other holiday(s) you may be celebrating, everyone.

As for the Christmas-attired comic characters, yep, 3D Man's color scheme is the most Christmasy of the ones you pictured, but I would argue that Green Arrow's original costume is a perfect Xmas outfit: heck, with those red gloves, boots and the red feather in his cap, it looks like he's dressed as one of Santa's elves. Also, the Teen Titans' Changeling sports quite a Yuletide look in green, red and white.

Excellent Xmas score, Osvaldo. Me and the little lady didn't really do gifts this year (well, I got her a pointsettia because she really likes those, but that's it), but last Friday my copy of the Steve Ditko omnibus that collects Shade the Changing Man, Stalker and a ton of short stories from the DC horror and SF books arrived in the mail, so that was kind of like a Christmas present (so was the price, I found a really good deal: paid a little over $20 for it total, including postage).

Hey Edo! Be careful with that pointsettia and the pets, they are really poisonous!

Osvaldo, yeah, I've heard about that (although I've also read that their toxicity to house pets is exaggerated); either way, it's not a problem. Only one of our cats even shows an interest in them, in that she rubs her cheek against the leaves, and sort of acts likes she's sniffing them - which probably means she's just assessing how much fun she'd have ripping them up with her claws...
