Redartz: Hi folks! Today we have two questions which involve revealing, perhaps, a bit of secret information. Private stuff, very hush-hush. To be specific:
1. When you were young, did you have a 'secret place'! That is, a special spot that you felt comfortable in, a place you could retreat to when you needed some privacy or just some thinking time.
2. What guilty pleasures do you enjoy as an evening, or bedtime, snack?
I will share first, to reassure the reticent!
Question 1: Yes, I did have a personal spot. In our town there was a small park along the river, replete with a swingset, teeter/totter and the usual kiddy attractions. It also had a nice walking trail that wound along the riverfront. This particular park had some history for me- my parents brought me there to play as a youngster. Thus this park had a warm place in my memory, and it still does. For a public park, it never attracted too many people; so it made a fine place to take a solitary walk and listen to the water. Sometimes I'd take some comics and read them under a tree. And every once in awhile, when nobody was around, I'd take a turn on the swings. Just for kicks, you know.

The park is great in winter, too... |

Question 2: My wife and I nearly always enjoy a bit of dessert before retiring; a dish of ice cream, or perhaps a few cookies and some milk (my perennial favorite; Sesame Street's "Cookie Monster" could have been modeled after me}. And we keep a can of nuts on the bedstand; makes a tasty nibble if you crave something salty. I go for peanuts and cashews, but my better half has dibs on walnuts...
Okay, that wasn't too painful (well, it may have been for you, but not so much for me). Here's the podium; your turn to share!
