Keeping things in season:
Best comic book or comic book-related present you ever got over the holidays?
Too many comic book xmas mornings to count, but I'll go with when my dad went out and rounded out my Claremont/Byrne back issues with X-Men #111, 119, 122, 123 and 135. Not as expensive as they'd be today, but still pretty pricey in the early 80s. What a score!
Related item: Got to give it to my Mego Iron Man doll. I asked Santa for it for Xmas and darn if he didn't deliver.
Happy Holidays, all!

How to draw comics the Marvel Way by Stan and Big John. 1979 I think.
Yoyo
Thanks for getting us started David. That was a nice X-Men gift from your dad.
And I would have loved that book in ‘79 Yo-yo.
It wasn’t until much later that I got comic related gifts. I’d have to say when my wife got me a piece of FF art by Paul Pelletier off of eBay. A nice Thing Page with Black Panther.
Happy Boxing Day!
Christmas 1976. Origins of Marvel Comics, Son of Origins of Marvel Comics and Bring on the Bad Guys.
I'm with Steve W! My fav comic gift was from Mom and Dad and it was "Origins of Marvel Comics."
Next best, I also got the Spirit of '76 Bicentennial Marvel Calendar which I mounted on the wall.
Some guy named Red also turned me on to a cool Marvel ornament this year, made by hand, that I have on the tree! Very nice!
I am wondering aloud if anyone ever got a DC Xmas gift?
I got some Mego dolls as a kid too, plus a Spider-Mobile; I wish I still had the Spider-Mobile ...
I can't remember ever getting any comics related Xmas gifts as a kid. I remember getting a Space: 1999 related toy - the "Stun Ray Gun" (which was a fancy flashlight).
As an adult I have gotten a lot more, the Kirby/Lee FF omnibuses, Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu omnibus, Miracle Man reprints, and lots more.
Back when I was in college, my parents graced me with a copy of Avengers #1. That was no cheap item even then, and it really touched me that they supported my hobby to such an extent.
More recently, my wife and sons have given me numerous comic items. This year she gave me a new laptop, the better to work on posts with (does that count for your topic, David p?
Charlie- so glad you like the ornament! They're fun to make and fun to hang...
Redartz,
Yes, a laptop counts. Especially if it has Strikeforce Morituri sticker on it, which I had on my 'Sharp' laptop years and years and years ago (early 90s, I think it had a 2 GB hard drive!).

Like Steve W., for a few consecutive Christmases in the late 1970s (and one birthday somewhere in there), I received Son of Origins, Greatest Super Hero Battles, Super Hero Women and Bring on the Bad Guys. Also, a few times I got Treasury editions (the second Holiday Grab-bag once and the Fantastic Four one with the Gabriel/Galactus story another time) as sort of pre-Christmas presents, meaning that my mom bought them for me while she was doing some Christmas shopping.
When I was 20 years old (around 1985) my parents got me an Amazing Spider-Man #1 for Christmas. It was a "good condition" copy and cost $120. Definitely the best comic related gift I ever received.
When I sold my entire Spidey Collection a couple of years ago, I got around $3,000 for it. So, not a bad return.
As a youngster - an Aurora Plastics Spider-Man model kit.
As a fossil - the complete Peanuts from Fantagraphics
